The Thrill of Justice: A Review of 'Batman' #1

As I dive into the world of Batman, I'm struck by the sheer awesomeness that lies within. This massive event is off to a flying start, and every time I think it can't get any better, John comes along and throws in a big WOW factor that leaves me speechless.

One of the most anticipated moments in this issue is the return of Sinestro, and boy, does he deliver. With his iconic yellow ring, Sinestro is back with a vengeance, taking on Power Ring and claiming that no silly yellow ring can stop him. But Batman has a secret weapon up his sleeve, and what follows is pure badassery.

But Sinestro isn't the only villain making an appearance in this issue. The JLA gang, including Deathstroke, Giganta, Shadow Thief, and Copperhead, joins forces with Power Ring and his backup, The Secret Society. Meanwhile, Luthor's Injustice League, led by Captain Cold, is attempting to sneak into Wayne Enterprises.

As the battle rages on, we see Batman teaming up with Catwoman to take down the villains. But it seems that the entire Syndicate is busy plotting against each other, with Owlman scheming against Superwoman and Ultraman, and Johnny Quick and Atomica taking matters into their own hands. Grid, however, has a plan of his own, sending Deathstorm back to the lab to unlock Firestorm's ability to create Kryptonite.

Throughout this issue, Power Ring is on edge, pleading with Grid for backup after his ring barely holds a charge. But when he finally gets the chance to take on Captain Cold himself, the name-calling and trash talk come to an end as Grid orders Deathstorm back to the lab.

With art by David Finch, Paul Jenkins, and inker Richard Friend, this issue is a visual treat that brings the action-packed story to life.
